About
The Anti-Fascist
Gift Shop

Political cartoons from the late 1800s to early 1900s are presented here in their original form — real ink, real artists, real history. Every image is sourced from a vintage satirical publication in a personally maintained collection and scanned directly from the original magazine: no AI or augmented imagery. The pieces are presented in their raw, unrestored condition, preserving the original patina of age and the authentic physical wear of the vintage paper. The material is handled with the same discipline used in historical and archival research, shaped by training at Oxford, and preserved with respect for context and the integrity of the artist’s voice.

Originally published to confront corruption, bureaucracy, censorship, and the early currents of authoritarianism and fascist ideology, these cartoons spoke boldly in their own time—and they still speak clearly now. This project sits at the intersection of research and resistance, restoring the platform of long-overlooked illustrators so that the voices pushing back then can inspire those pushing back today.
